For many people, building a custom home is a dream. Imagine being able to whip up a house that fits you to a tee, with every feature designed around your unique requirements! Most people assume, though, that this is just a pipe dream- after all, construction companies have their house plans, and are they willing to modify those each time? Well, the answer is yes! Grayson Homes go out of their way to give customers exactly what they are looking for, so if there’s anything extra you want to be included when building a custom home, just say the word.
At the end of the day, there are just some designs that click and others that seem great in the abstract but fail to measure up to our expectations. When you are comfortable after experiencing a certain layout, that should mean a lot more to you than specifications on paper. The best way for space to be utilized varies greatly based on the circumstances of individuals and families, and even if we can’t put those aspects of the perfect house plan into words, we know it when we see it. Trust those instincts.

Think about the time you presently spend in certain rooms in your home, and why. Measure your current furniture to determine if there will be adequate walking space of at least 36 inches around furniture and clearance for doors to swing. Will the height of your furniture block windows? Does it provide enough wall space, nooks and areas for art and personal effects? Review the natural “traffic flow†of the house plan, the interior views from each room of the home as well as how natural lighting can be shared and utilized within the home.
