See who's talking around here!

Believe it or not, EliteNick.com started off as a Geocities website called Sp3c13s.cjb. It was started inspired by all the big PHP-Nuke sites for Yahoo! that had booters and other chat related tools. I had no idea how to edit HTML, and I was using a premade Geocities template. Then, I made my own template, based on copying a table code (had a top part for the title, longer center for the content, and small on the bottom for the end). I cut and pasted it to go all around, and called it my template. Eventually, I started gaining visitors, around a hundred a day while still on Geocities. The site began getting cut off because I continously went over the bandwidth limit.

I moved to the European version of Tripod hosting, it had more things than the American site. After a while I couldn’t figure out how to install PHP Nuke and then moved to a pay host. I viewed the source of another PHP-Nuke Yahoo! site and ripped the entire thing. Except I made my own images and replaced all of the old ones, included the colors in the .CSS file. This is where I first began actually understanding HTML and .CSS coding. After a little while, the site was Sp3c13s.com and became a giant. I was averaging 2,000 to 2,500 visitors a day (good for a Yahoo-related site). My then friend James (code name, not the actual name) bought the hosting since I did not have a credit card or even a checking/PayPal account. We were doing great as a team, I designed and maintained the site while he paid for it & also made some posts. But then some personal things happened (my sister was dating him) and James kicked me off of my own site! I was very angry.

After a short period, I made a site called Psycho-Killers hosted back on Geocities, but I was quickly dissapointed with it. I then decided to make a site called YahooBooting.com, which as many of you may know, was probably my biggest site yet. At one point the site was recieving 5,000 visitors daily. I was shut down 3 or 4 times for having booters and such, but eventually found hosts that supported them (basically teenage kids doing resellers). During this time I figured out how to design your own site using Photoshop. I used to design them in Paint Shop Pro 7, and then sliced them in Photoshop 7. This is because Photoshop discouraged me, looking at all of the different tools and functions.

Then one day, I decided that I was going to understand it once and for all. I redesigned YahooBooting.com in Photoshop and recieved decent responses. That is what inspired me to continue on. I then discovered the site Mtechnik.net, and he is who inspirired me first to do incredibly hi-tech and sleek designs. The only thing I disliked about his designs is that they weren’t the dark style of hi-tech. They were more light, like a space ship. So from then on I set myself to create something as good or better, but the style I was aiming for.

During this period, I was forced to shut Yahoobooting.com down after exactly one year of operation, due to conflicts between the owners of the hosting & basic feelings towards booters and such from me. I was tired of trying to keep up a site that was not particularily legal, and I found myself not even using “booters” anymore. After a long period of time, I opened the site EliteNick.com. The name is kind of dumb, but I was sick of people who tried to say they were the owners of YahooBooting.com when I had it. So I thought if I had a site name with my name in it, people would know who I was easier then. The site contained a ton of Yahoo! tools, excluding booters/crackers/ect. I wss getting around 2,000 visitors a day.

Then I realized the domain EliteNick.com was stupid and I wasn’t Elite, so I renamed the site to TrancePhorm.net. At that point I was getting about 3,000 visitors a day. After a while though, there was an incident where a girl uploaded pictures that were questionable, and some individuals submitted an anonymous report to the FBI saying my website contained child pornography. I was investigated and they concluded that it wasn’t a child pornograpgy site, merely a girl who submitted pictures. Even then, my parents told me that I needed to shut my website down, and it was very difficult for me. My website was my business, my everything. I eventually told my host to cancel my account and shut down. After that, my site was nonexistant for a month or two. Many people were talking about it, saying I was sent to jail for child pornography or molestation, which was obviously untrue.

I decided it was time to bring my site back, but with a totally new look and approach. It would be my personal playground. Since I write and produce music, design, draw, code, program, and make videos/templates, I knew this concept would work well. Now I am at the point we are at now. Although I put a survey up for a month and many people said they wanted the site to have more Yahoo! tools and such, so I decided that was reasonable, being that my sites’ reputation was being the biggest Yahoo! chat tools site.

Now, since having recently learned more techniques with web design (XHTML, CSS, PHP etc.) I decided to redesign my site, and make it more blog-based, and straight the point. I also used this site as a testing grounds for WordPress. I usually don’t like using scripts because I don’t feel like it’s truly my site, but after hearing so much about WordPress, I decided to give it a shot, but still made sure to make the design 100% by myself.
