Looking for Freelance Bloggers, Tutorial Writers and More
Posted in Site News by Nick on March 25th, 2009
I’m currently looking for freelance bloggers, tutorial writers, article writers, etc. Pretty much, anyone who can contribute. I feel like I’ve been churning out some good posts lately, but I want to expand on that and get some other people to hand out more useful and fun information. The only requirements are that your contribution is original, in-depth and you have good grammar. Most articles I accept may actually end up on my new web venture, THEYCREATED.com, a site that has a lot of the same focus as this, but less about me and more about the community.
Why are you doing this?
Again, I feel like the content on this site is superb, but I would like to be able to have new content added more often. To do this, I will need the help of others as I can only do so much. Currently, I am juggling many things in my life. I’m trying to become a better musician by making more music, teaming up with my girlfriend for vocal tracks, reading up on forums, etc. I am also thinking about going back to college to finish my progress towards an Associates degree in Graphic and Web Design. Recently I paid off both my car and my credit card, and now I feel like I may be in a position to be able to progress my life.
I also finally finished my online portfolio at NickMorrisDesigns.com (although I am not entirely too happy with it). I have been spending the last few weeks trying to secure a job in the web design field, submitting literally around 30 or applications to different companies around my city. In this economy, it is very hard to get a new job, let alone one in which you have no degree in to compete with others around you.
So you’re not going to post on here anymore?
That is far from the truth! I am going to continue at the same rate I have been posting new content, which is roughly once every week, be it a new article, song tutorial or program. In fact, I plan on writing more in-depth articles, as I feel that is where I excel.
How much will I get paid?
It really depends on how in-depth your submission is. I am going to go ahead and say for a well-written, original tutorial I would give around $100 USD. The same goes for a well-written article as well.
The content I’m looking for mainly consists of web design, graphic design, CSS, HTML, design in general, accessibility, web 2.0, music and whatever else relates to those categories. If you have an idea for an article but aren’t sure if I’d like it or not, let me know and I’ll say whether not I’d think I’d accept it.
Payments will be send through PayPal. I’ve had account with them since 2003, and am in good standing, which you can verify right here.
So, go ahead and leave me a comment if you have any questions, or head over to the contact form if you’d like it to be a private message. In the next week or so, I will be building a custom submission page for articles or tutorials. For now, you can simply e-mail me your idea, or send a link to a location of the article/tutorial you’ve written (in a private location of course).
Thanks for reading!

I’m a little hectic until after my exams, but over summer I’d love to write a tutorial or article for you :)

I’ve got an idea for a topic, but i wouldn’t be able to write it cuz idk much about it. But alot of people want their sites known without having to pay. Like getting traffic without having to pay. I suck at it cuz i’ve had sooo many sites that were supposed to be adsense sites, but they fail because i can never get traffic.

@Justin: This is probably because you made the website with making money in mind. You have to make a website because you’re passionate about the subject, and the money will come second.

Well, I’ve sent you an email with information about my ideas, and some samples of my work.
Looking forward to hearing back from you. I’ve been needing to expand my clientele.
