MySpace Profiles 2.0: How to Go Back to 1.0

I was looking at the MySpace developer site and saw a post about the new Profile 2.0 system they’ve made, that really changes the way the profiles work. But after reading about 80 comments, I’d say 90% of them were people asking how to get back to the old version.
Personally, I sort of like it, although I won’t be using it until I figure out how to code a custom CSS/DIV-based design on it (it parsed most of my CSS when I converted to 2.0). Anyway, here is a very short (I’m talking 2 steps) tutorial on how to go back to MySpace Profiles 1.0.
First, hover your mouse over “Profile“, then click “Customize Profile” on the drop-down menu. You should be able to access this menu from almost any page on MySpace.
Then, simply click the “Go Back” arrow/text on the very top right of your screen. It is above everything. You will get a few prompts, but just keep clicking OK and yes.
That’s it!
If you do not see the “Go Back” link, you have no choice but to use Profiles 2.0, according to Tom.

Hey nick.. I noticed on alot of html templates that you download, aswell as your PSD TC template.. there is stuff written in a weird language. What does it mean, and why do people do it? lol. Like the ” Lorem ipsum dolor sit atem, conectetuer adiipiscing elit.” I don’t get it.

thank you very much………..you helped me alot,
i changed my profile to 2.0 and
i hated it, it realii effected my page, i had less
friend requests and less profile veiws
all because my profile was unatractive,
and i have been tryingto over come this
problem bui couldent find a way around this
until NOW, your information realy releaved some
weight off me,…….i was bginig 2 get so
irritated to the point that i was going to delete my page
and start a new myspace (NOT THE ANSER) once again

when i press go back it just reloads my page, not making any changes at all to my page and i want to go back to profile 1.0

My go back button is there but there’s no option to get back to 1.0 there’s just a “start from scratch” button.

i just got myspace again..and it automatically gave me 2.0..i want 1.0 but every time i click on go back it only says “start from scratch”..i have no switch to 1.0?..how do i get 1.0 then?

Yeah, I just made an account today (and I’ve had many previous myspaces) and it automatically put it on 2.0
I’m so pissed cause I seriously hate 2.0, every code I’ve used with 1.0 (and I got really good at editing profiles and such) is not working cause it’s “different”
2.0 is a horrible Idea, so many people complained already.
I think we need to send letters to myspace or something

I just made another profile today. It automatically set it to 2.0 and every time I press the “go back” button, all it says is “start from scratch”. I heard that you have 90 days if you don’t like 2.0 to go back to 1.0. This is the first day I made the profile. Why am I not getting the option of going back? Why do some people get the option of going back and not others?

If you make a new account, you cannot go back to Profiles 1.0.
If you don’t see the button there and you have an older account, you stayed with your 2.0 profile for too long, and they take away the button.

my profile got deleted nd then i made a new one but it automaticly goes to 2.0..but my friend (who also got a new account) was able to switch to 1.0…hellp.

well you can go back to profile 1.0 after april 2nd.
just go to manage blogs-post a new blog-type anything in the subject and body like “test”
the select prieviw and publish. the go to cusomize profile and you should see the go back to 1.0 button.
i helped my brother with that and it worked! and you may have to do it a few times for it to work tho.

@PAMELA: hey so if you made an accound after the first of april you cant go back. if you kept prole two point o for more than two months you cant go back. if you didnt sign up after the dead line and you didnt keep it for that long there is a thing called ” the blog trick ” where you just go to post new blog and have the subject as test and nothing in the description thing. and post that over and over until it works. if it doesnt what i found that works is if you delete all the history from your computer then try it.
thats what worked for me.

I click go back and it says go back to profile 1.0 and it says start from scratch and i click it but it goes to the profile 2.0 without any of the codes or anything i put on it and i want to go back to profile 1.0. help?
