Kanye Wests’ Unecessary Comments

Posted in Site News by Nick on September 2nd, 2005

Regarding Hurricane Katrina:{nl}Kanye west just said on the “A Concert for Hurricane Relief” live tv{nl}show that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people”. Dude shut the{nl}**** up. This really isn’t the time to say sh*t like that right{nl}now….I have lost all respect for kayne west, what a fu**ing idiot.Saying that Bush doesn’t care about black people is saying that all{nl}people in New Orleans are black, which is stereotyping. If you actually{nl}knew anything, there ARE indeed whites and other people there WITH the{nl}black people going through the EXACT same situation.Let me just say that I do understand the great misfortune the people{nl}affected by Hurricane Katrina have experienced, that is why I have{nl}placed a banner at the bottom of the page giving a direct link to{nl}donate through the Red Cross.Anyway, you{nl}really shouldn’t use this program that is to help the redcross, to{nl}express across your personal political opinions…not the mention{nl}totally…ABSOLUTELY ridiculous claims. I am not even a big fan of{nl}George Bush and I usually don’t post about political things, but that{nl}was TOTALLY uncalled for. I hope that Kanye’s absurd comments will{nl}cause his career to crash. People these days. Here’s the video if you haven’t seen it: http://elitenick.com/kaynewesthurricanekatrina.wmv

No, I don\’t think he does, but I don\’t think that was the right time to say something like that. He RUINED the show. Now it\’s just turned into a debate of whether or not it was a racist thing instead of focusing on why people should donate.I saw today a \”personal opinion\” thing on the news and some black lady was saying if all the people were white and went through the exact same situation, they would of gotten help the same day it happened…I think that\’s totally untrue. If anyone actually paid attention during and immediatly after the hurricane happened on the news, everyone was saying the hurricane wasn\’t as bad as they expected and everyone was happy, then about a day later they all said \”oh this is a disaester\”. Why? Because the water holder things broke unexpectedly and THEN the severe flooding occured. Sure the government still reacted a bit slow, but it\’s not entirely their fault and it\’s not racist in the least. I\’m sick of minorities getting special privelages.

its a plublicity stunt…kanye west has a phat head and because of that he thinks he can say what he wants when he wants how he wants. Black people are NOT the only people that suffer in new orleans..and if you think that they do they your fucking retarded. The NAACP was saying that "their people" werent getting the attention that they needed. What about "Our people". Better yet…what about "Americans".
